Burlesque

So recently,I went to the theatres to catch Burlesque,Featuring Christina.The whole story was about a stranger in a strange land and still following your dreams type of movie.It just really makes you feel good,if you get into what you want.



That day,I went home and I watched this television show,called X-factor,which was like a talent show,but I wasn't so impressed.


The next night,I fell in love with this talent,one specific talent,Singing,Yea,American Idol.I used to think that most of the judges are gone,why watch?



but,I was wrong,There still was Randy Jackson,Now added,the beautiful,Jennifer Lopez and the Aerosmith lead singer,Steven Tyler.


I'm really loving it.Can't wait to see who'll win

Secondary school life

I now feel very blessed,I made it through.My father told me I'm a very lucky kid.People had to struggle 4/5 years to make it through secondary school,I only took 2.


Let me explain myself,in case anyone of you are intrigued by my line.Just a little back ground info bout myself,I didn't do much studying in my life,until I came to secondary 4,so that why I'm freakin blessed to be where I'm at.


But now,at least going into repulsive poly,I'm good!!!!

I realise the song of this week is a very Ol' school,which was in 2001,which I thought it was still cool.

About blogging

I was told that there was a blog that just started in the Fox scout website.I have briefly read through every part of the recent posts.


I gotta say,they have put in lots of effort to make as less formal as they could.It wasn't really a formal thing.It was really a space for the scout,to express their thoughts and experience for the others,which some may relate to.


I wouldn't say it is good or it's bad,it's definitely comic gold,as they experience it themselves.I feel it being as a group blog,they should just get random scout for a post on their views.so they won't be like "Hey look,it's him blogging......Again".I think chances should be given to the rest,instead of the core group of bloggers.


I read Xun Wei's Entry on his CCA hike and I really felt it was really interesting,in parts,like he "Sleepwalking" during the hike,I really enjoyed that one.I believe he was really serious about writing the post.


However,I felt that Kok Hui's entry wasn't so Impressive(but,it was good),There were times were his entry was really intriguing,which left people with "Who?What?Why?" and such and there were moments he tried to make the entry comical(like Simpsons or Family guy),which didn't turn out good nor bad(Like an episode of Hi-5)[Nothing against him],I really felt that the facial expressions is unnecessary,but it was a valiant effort nonetheless and a good learning experience.

I really haven't been doing any poetry this year,since the last best friend poem,so Tha instant classic decided to a little something something.Here we go!



The world is filled with Engimas
they're like strangers in a random bar

focus,intense,rational,but never seem scary

Media superstar

That I don't mind taking the claim,because now I have reach out to more media ways than anyone I know.

Math:B4

yea,I have a wide selection of poly to go for,but am I happy?


Nope,I was happy when I got my results,but definitely not now.

English is okay,but I was really going for a C5.

Combined humans really pulled an upset,I wasn't really expecting a D7,I thought about having at least a C6.Even Ms Toh couldn't believe it.I know the problem mainly came from Geography,I know it best.

Math was the shocker of the results,I didn't know I could get a B4,but then again,the paper wasn't so tough.


Sci was expected by me,I thought I would probably have flunked it.



Art was really the project I spent so much time on,it's not freaking fair for me to get a D7,I really thought I could have gotten a C5.I think it was my paper 2 that caused such results.


Chinese was another surprise for me,I thought the second paper was tougher than the first paper I sat for,I was expecting to fail,but I passed.



So now,I get to go poly,but with 4 O level passes,my entire family keep talking about how I did badly for O levels,but who really caused me to fail my humans,THEM!!!!.

I can't even become a relief teacher now,because I need 5 passes.



I no longer know what to do anymore.My ego tells me to go to Poly and excel there,but again,there is this feeling that calls me to go back to pass my humans and improve my other grades.


What should I do?,or rather,What will Seng Ann do?

O levels

has been my one and only enemy over the course last year.Loads of stress and error done in last year,My expectation of mistakes in O's will be minimum.



I will have to keep my composure,I will not allow my nervousness and excitement to get the best of me.I hope to come back and tell you the title of the song of the week.

Mono-poly

This post really has nothing to do the business based game.I went around the small city of Singapore's polys.......Yeah!!!....Every single one of them.



So I went on to every poly during their open house to take my sweet time to have a good look at every poly in S'pore and figure out every single cons,while their students speak of their pros.



So I'll go by polys and their courses....(Go ahead,roll your eyes,I don't care).

Temasek Poly

Pros
1)Truely,the livest crowd of people there,so if you're looking to join hospitality or Culinary,it's the best you can really go for.

2)It is the only poly in the East area.

3)The school also sees talent in Sports,If you're a sporty person,Go for it.

4)There are shuttle bus provided to the schools every school day from Bedok to TP.

Cons
1)As a proud resident of Choa Chu Kang,I would have to say,it's unfortunately far....Hey,I wouldn't like to wake up at 5am every single morning to rush to catch the first train of the day and not forgetting the lengthy long rides to school,my sis,a TP year 2 student,who joined,because again,best in Culinary.If you live near that area,hey,since it's the only school in East side,take your chance,kiddo.

2)As I can see all their students joining in with the cheering for their own school,Nobody was really there to tell anyone anything about their schools,chances are,you'll be lost in every first day of school.Even though,the best hospitality is there,it's not really there.(You get the point)

Moving on

Singapore Poly

Pros
1)Next to Dover Mrt,which definitely makes it convenient to go to the school.

2)Hey,don't think that the school is all about handing out Goodie bags,Candy floss and popcorns,they are all about serious business,I got a chance to talk to 1 of their lecturers(Not doing cheers[Thank God!!]),he took the time to ask me about my interest in course and such,so I'll believe their school wouldn't have much lousy students,because the Lecturer will know how to settle their problems.

3)Fast food frenzy,loads of FF there.

Cons
1)Again,like TP,the lack of hospitality can lead to student being lost in the first day of school.The lecturers and student would know only know about their own courses and if you tried searching for a course,don't bother asking.Then again,they have so many courses,how would they remember?


Next up,

Ngee Ann Poly


Pros
1)I always call it "the rich school",I say it,because I meant it.It really is one of the richer poly you can find.

2)Mass Comm is definitely the best there and it is time-tested,the inaugural mass comm class was form in NP.

3)Great lecturers like SP.

4)Good Hospitality

Cons
1)Screw the food you eat in red camp,the shuttle buses you took,the loaded goodie bags in the Open House,you really think that the shuttle bus really operates every school day?If you think that way,Let me break it to you.....NOOOOOO!!!They don't have any bus on their school days,so you walk to your school everyday and you'll have to find a way from Clementi.Get it?Got it?GOOD!!

Nanyang poly




1)The school,from it's structure,you could tell,the school appreciates Art,with the NYP Jam and calling in Jack and Rai to perform is a testament to that.Art Student or those interested in that,take notice.

2)Near Y.C.K mrt,just a few minutes walk.Really easy.

3)Passionate Lecturers

Cons
1)Again,like TP,the lengthy rides to school can be oh-so boring,so if you're a reader or sleeper,go for it.

2)It's quite a walk from the gate of the school to (for the lack of a better term), the foyer.


Last,but certainly not least
Republic Poly

Pros

1)A school that recognise sports,so again,similar to TP who really takes sports very seriously.


2)A 5-10 minutes walk from woodlands Mrt station,which is convenient.


3)Great hospitality during the Open House,I expect something similar to that in the school days.Loads of signs and information for people who didn't know about things,so it's good.


Cons
1)I strongly believe I'm not the first to point this out,but the school is definitely not strong in their academic results.So if I want to go Uni,RP won't be a choice of mine.

Crazy year,I meant Crazier

Well,just a quick update of my life.It have been pretty fast moving as of late.




I have been very dependant on buses,but everytime,I take a look out from the bus window,I felt that I should really do something productive with my life,instead of wasting my life away,as seconds pass.



So I took the initiative to go to Lot 1's library to get some books.I was really looking for famous authors commonly read by teen....

Authors such as Nicholas Sparks


Jodi Picoult


But I couldn't find any of the authors,so at that point,I thought I should go back and read up on My entire Twillight saga.


Before I left,I saw the very original alibi why I began blogging,A very familiar series of Sue Townsend.....Adrian Mole,I first saw it in one of the handouts of my ex school in Sec 3,I instantly fell in love with the works of Sue Townsend.I went to Mrs Tan Siew Heng to ask for the Book,so she borrowed it from Ms Ruby Pan,for me.


I stuck my face on the book everyday.I manage to complete the book,before Ms Ruby asked it back.


I borrowed 4 different series of Adrian moles.Call me Geek or Nerd,Whatever.At least,I'm not wasting my time doing Nothing!

Now,if you'll excuse me,I have books to complete. =)


And oh,O level's result is on the 10/1/2011,I can't wait.
